New York, NY, June 4, 2026 – Today, PONYFLO®, creator of the patented high ponytail hat, launched the Bria Braid Hat, the brand’s first cap designed for braided styles. Created to meet a clear gap in the hat market, the Bria Braid hat delivers the same performance, polish, and innovation PONYFLO is known for, now designed with braids in mind.

The Braid Hat iterates on PONYFLO®’s patented design with a wider full back opening and more room throughout the crown, allowing for different braid sizes, lengths and styling preferences. In addition, the hat features a satin inner lining to keep braids neat and reduce frizz, making it more compatible with braided style than traditional caps.

 “We are always looking for new product ideas from our community,” said Minsun Yoo, founder and creative director of PONYFLO®. “From the initial idea for the Braid Hat, we knew that engaging our customers in the design was crucial to creating a product that actually works for women who wear braids. We’re confident that this hat is going to meet a real need women have had for a long time.”

Before the design was finalized, PONYFLO tested a prototype of the Bria Braid Hat at a focus group of women with braided styles. Their feedback and ideas were instrumental in perfecting the design to ensure that the hat truly works with their hair.

“Finding a hat that works with braids has always been tricky for me because braids are often too thick to fit into traditional caps,” said Sianna Peal, director of marketing and business development at PONYFLO, whose initial idea sparked the development of the Bria Braid Hat.

“When we started making this hat, there were certain design elements I knew we would need to be thoughtful about, but the focus group attendees were instrumental in the final product. Their questions and ideas are truly sewn into the Braid Hat, and it made me even more excited for our customers to get their hands on one.”
