The Story Behind Ponyflo
Minsun Kim is the founder of PONYFLO®. An industrial designer by training, she brings a rigorous design background shaped by her experience on the Samsung Electronics design team and a graduate degree from Columbia University. Her work is driven by a deep understanding of how thoughtful engineering can improve everyday products.
As a mother of three, Minsun understands firsthand the demands of an active, fast moving life. That lived experience reinforces her belief that innovation should serve real needs. Through PONYFLO®, she continues to design products that move with women through every part of their day.
The Idea
The idea for PONYFLO® was born from recognizing a long ignored design gap in headwear. Traditional hats were never built to accommodate ponytails, buns, or textured hair without compromising fit or performance. Minsun set out to change that by creating a patented solution that opens fully, adjusts seamlessly, and stays secure in motion.
